If a trial is offered, its length and the price and period that follow it are shown on the Google Play purchase screen before you confirm. Google handles the charge and the conversion to a paid subscription.
To avoid being charged, cancel through Google Play at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you cancel within the trial you aren't charged, so there's nothing to refund.
